Memory
docu:mentalKLİNİK’s second issue was ‘bellek’ (memory). The issue was looking at the concept from different perspectives; memory as hard disc and memory as ram; how the computers copy the human mind and vice versa how the human mind today functions as a computer. The text on hard disc claimed that ‘the world is ephemeral’, repeating this same quote along the page. The text on ram on the following page was taken from the the everyday life (a text by Birhan Keskin). The texts highlighted how both the ram and the hard disc are susceptible to forgetting; that they both bear the risk of being erased. The last page, in two columns, had a text on the left column which was no longer readeble since it was crossed over with a pen and on the right column were written the word ‘bellek’ (memory) in many languages.
