Upside-down / Inside-out

The fifth issue by docu:mentalKLİNİK was ‘altüst / tersyüz’ which is ‘upside-down/inside-out’. In Turkish though, the ‘upside-down’ is defined reversely as ‘down-upside’. The issue begins by ‘üst-yüz’ , ‘upside-out’ on the front page. On the following 2 pages were written brief definitions of these concepts, the letters of which were connected to respective letters of the Turkish alphabet placed on both sides of the pages. Thus a graphical outlay was generated automatically. The outlay also had a reference to a fashion-dressing pattern and the issue was published at the same time as the fashion industry had begun to play around with these concepts. The issue ends with ‘alt-ters’ ‘down-inside’ at the back page.
