You can use www.documentalklinik.com both to observe our 'Documents' and to contribute to our 'Collecting'.

'Documents' contains the projects realised by docu:mentalKLINIK. Some have already found their locations and they are published , while some are still seeking possible engagements.

'Collecting' is a preview of docu:mentalKLINIK's working process on a concept or context that has attracted its attention. It is a form of collecting and documenting various kinds of information, emotions, viewpoints and senses. It is open to outside contributions from all sorts of disciplines. docu:mentalKLINIK considers its 'Collecting' projects as potential 'Documents'. You can contact us if you are interested in contributing to docu:mentalKLINIK's 'Collecting'.

Founders of docu:mentalKLINIK

Yasemin Baydar

Baydar was born in Istanbul in 1972. She is a graduate of MSU Faculty of Fine Arts. Together with the Kültür Group, she organized the "A Gender Project from Istanbul" exhibition in Zurich in 1996, and with it the book entitled Kültür. With the same group, she put on the "Karanfilköy, Right to Shelter" exhibition and the "Voice of the Demolished House" project at the 1997 Istanbul Biennial. Baydar is one of the co-founders of the Ikinokta design company, where she continues to work.

Birol Demir

Demir was born in Ankara in 1967. After graduating from the Mimar Sinan University's Faculty of Fine Arts in 1990, he continued his MA studies at the same faculty between 1990-1992. In 1990, he started working at the Avanos Municipality Artists' District and Ceramics Museum. He has held numerous solo and collective exhibitions since 1990. Demir is the one of the co-founders of the Ikinokta design company, where he continues to work.

Yasemin Baydar ve Birol Demir started off in 2000 :mentalKLİNİK which they have designed in 1998. They realized (sleep) 2001, {game } 2002, [copy] 2003 projects in Istanbul. They realized the 4th project ~self, 2004 in collaboration with MUDAM (Musee d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg) in Luxembourg.
